"The Promise" was written for Terry George's film of the same name, which follows refugees from the Armenian Genocide through their love and loss. The original concept for the video included excerpts from this film, however during the process we decided to expand the scope to include all victims of genocide and those fleeing conflict worldwide. This video was filmed just a few weeks before Chris Cornell's untimely death and was ultimately released on World Refugee Day, June 20th, 2017.
