This was my commercial directing debut.  It was done on short ends for a whopping budget of $5,000 for advertising agency GDS&M.  Vai, the star of the commercial was once a Rockette.  "Simple Things" won numerous awards including BDA Award for "Best Design" and "Best Cinematography" for a Public Service Announcement.
